today trade entry

i just entered a trade at 1.4125 short eur/usd because at 10 minutes there is a negatives divergence on stochastic and a bear engulfing pattern happened confirming the previous bear engulfing which mean confirming resistance and at 1 hour it create a bearish engulfing. today eur/usd trend is down by seeing 3*3 MA

the trade end up with a lost

and the mistake can be seen on the chart that i forgot the support area which means my mistake is on the risk and reward ratio. though the 1 hour chart show a bear engulfing but it doesn't confirmed by my stochastic, and the adx show me that the trend is still strong for uptrend.

I got a lost because i enter by analyzing 10 minute chart. a candlestick pattern happend on the 10 minute chart confirming a previous candlestick pattern which mean it confirming resistant. but i didn't see in 1 hour chart the trend is still strong which being shown on 1 hour adx

Tired Mind after work

now i always feel tired and my mind exhausted after a tired 8 hours long of doing programming at work. when our mind is exhausted we wont be able to think straight not to say to enter a trade on the correct signal or interpret the indicator correctly most often we will endup enter things carelessly which endup make us lost our money. it's a hard choice to leave my company and just do trading or keep trade with current situation since i must admit that i'm relatively new on trading which is less than 3 years what i'll do now is to spend time to meditate after comming back and take shower to rejuvenate my mind. i want to train my brain to be calmer, faster and more accurate.

Changes of Time frame

I change my Time Frame to the a longer time frame from 10 minutes chart now i go to 1 hour chart so that i could analyzed better and more accurate. since the reason why i trade is not for the action and excitement but for constant profit.

Won't trade for today

I won't trade today, this day will be a day for me to learn from market. to much thing happened here in office so that i won't do the same mistake like few weeks ago i rather to take a break from trading for today.

but from my view for today eur/usd usd/jpy outlook is:

eur/usd will still going down trend
usd/jpy will still going down to meet it retracement level

Today outlook on eur/usd usd/jpy

eur/usd will go uptrend and will meet first resistance at 1.4084 for replacement. and at that point it can be used to trigger sell position since the movement now is actually downtrend on daily chart

usd/jpy since it always break the 6.18 Fibonacci resistance that hold the uptrend it might go up until the next resistance at 101.67. and usd/jpy is above the 3*3 MA

Building trading plan

I'm trying to write down my trading plan on my Note Book so that i could review it each day and try to simulate all the step. like what people said without a good plan than there will be no victory for that battle. so i'm compiling joe dinapoli method, adding with other technical analysis that i feel could help me on my trading.

Trailing stop

A lot of people said good things on trailing stop. but after few time trying to do so i can said it's abit to complicated to make a good profitable trailing stop. if we just put a Break Even +1 everytime we got a winning although we won't lose again but it got bigger probability that we will only get BE +1 more than our profit objective. so i could conclude that it is better for us to have a good stop placement that is static rather than bad trailing stop

Cut on break even

the trade before i closed it and end up giving me a break even. the reason i close this trade is i become not sure why i made that trade so i close at BE +2 but it executed for me at BE. i Stop trading now and will do short meditation before i sleep

current usd/jpy trade

i put sell on 95.62 and stop on 96.85. i enter because there is a confluence there and my 1 hour chart show a down trend.

Common Trader Mistake

yesterday i did a common mistake that would happen for trader. my gf got angry and it disturb my emotion and mind. when i read from books that said if we quarreled or fight with our relative and friend it will effected our trading what i thought first time was " ok it's easy i don't need to trade if i got a fight" which is the recommendation from all expert. but when it really strike me there is something inside your brain will persuade you to trade and want to punished your self by losing. after entering 2 losing order which make me lost 35 pips than i stop. i remember about my religion i directly chant in my heart and get back my sense. i become calm and rather than trade to lose i update my windows, wash my cloths, relax ( since i got a fever so i think i deserved a good longer nap ). my promise to my self is i will chant and really forcing my self to be busy doing other things than trading when my emotion is distracted, yesterday it might only 35 pips but it would be much higher than that.

my early Morning trade

Today i trade eur/usd early morning at 9:10 am. i put an order at 1.3954 i put my stoploss at 1.3941 and my profit objective at 1.3975.

my reason for this entry was: macd is up, trend is also up, and we can see the adx telling me this market is trending. moreover we can see at that 9:10 it also make a doji in fibonacci retracement which make me more confident of leaving my order there.

eur/usd for next week review

eur/usd monthly chart. from my analysis i think most probably eur usd will go up until meet a resistent at 1.461 than the next possible resistent is up on the HI 1.6037.

from the eur/usd chart above we will slide our time frame to weekly and we could play to the upside using weekly chart

we see here we put a entry buy at 1.3621 ( buy on retracement) and we would put our stop loss at 1.3333

After waiting for 1 whole week end feel discourage because my thinkorswim connection is somehow blocked without any reason. at least that is what my office admin said. today it's finally OPEN and i can monitor Forex market price again. luckly i do a brave things to ask my boss whether it's ok for me to trade from office or not. thanks to my boss who help me to personally asked office admin to figure out whats wrong with my connection to ThinkOrSwim. >.<
